KINGSTON, Jamaica - With only six days to go before the fourth three-year-old Classic event of the 2025 season, thirteen horses have remained on the provisional list of starters.
The fillies only Jamaica Oaks is to be contested on Saturday, August 2 going 10 furlongs.

its oaks day on saturday,ten furlongs the distance,a mile and quarter a journey race as we call it.my question is why are we not seeing 10 furlong races on a regular basis.With the advent of the 9fur and 25 yarder it has diminished the miler and quarter to a anomaly on the racing calendar for years.MR.racing secretary,we the racing public humbly request the return of the stamina test for our throughbreds again,at least one mile and quarter per month that makes 12 races of that nature for all classes in the near future..fullfiling this dream would be my and all others a reality come true.

Racing secretary please tweak how u write the races most of the races are sprint. Come on SVRL please do better u guys get rid of the governor General stakes , the superstakes and prime minister stakes please bring back the glory days of racing.
