Double for Reyan Lewis as Sencity at 5-1 romps fourth at Caymanas Park

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Saving ground on the inside rails for most of the one mile fourth race – a Maiden three-year-old offering, Sencity delivered easily for jockey Reyan Lewis and trainer Anthony Nunes.

When the starter let them go, it was Primal Fear (Shane Ellis – 32-1) who got the clock ticking from in front with Sencity and Cold Pursuit (Simon Husbands – 1-1) behind.

That order did not change when they entered the lane for the final two furlongs as Lewis started to ask questions of Sencity.

The answer came immediately as Sencity moved alongside Primal Fear and then pulled away to win by 6 ½ lengths. Primal Fear was second with a lacklustre Cold Pursuit in the third spot.

Sencity, a three-year-old dark bay filly by (Sensational Slam – City Train) completed one mile in a time of 1:40.3 behind splits of 24.1 x 47.2 x 1:12.2.

This was the second winner on the day for Lewis.
