FROM THE JAMAICA RACING COMMISSION
Apprentice Jockey, Dane McKenzie was summoned by the Stewards after a videotape was circulated of him behaving in an ungentlemanly and unacceptable manner on the premises of Supreme Ventures Racing & Entertainment Ltd. on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
He was admonished by the Stewards for his inappropriate behaviour and instructed to submit a written apology to the racing public.
THE APOLOGY BY APPRENTICE DANE MCKENZIE
I Apprentice Jockey Dane McKenzie, a graduate of the 2024 Jockeys’ Training Programme do publicly apologize to The Jamaica Racing Commission, Supreme Ventures Racing & Entertainment Ltd, (SVREL) and the entire racing fraternity for my unacceptable and improper behaviour I displayed on the premises of SVREL on Sunday, June 15, 2025, which was captured on video and circulated.
I accept that this is not in accordance with my training as a professional Jockey and the rules of racing.
I sincerely apologize again and promise that this behavior will not be repeated.
