KINGSTON, Jamaica – Driven flat to the boards by accomplished apprentice Reyan Lewis, Run Dazzle judiciously ridden by the young rider took the second race moments ago at Caymanas Park.
The event was Division 11 of an Optional Claiming event ($250,000 - $200,000) run over 6 ½ furlongs.
Lewis broke well with Run Dazzle but allowed the 3-5 favourite Unbreakable to set the pace.
After two furlongs were completed, Unbreakable (Anthony Thomas) was challenged by Paintthistownred (Raddesh Roman) but managed to slip away from rivals, entering the straight with a clear advantage.
At the top of the lane, Run Dazzle was third still four to five lengths behind Unbreakable.
Lewis then really started to work on Run Dazzle who responded well to win by 2 ¼ lengths. Shuana Cruise (Simon Husbands – 5-1) recovered from a poor start to finish strongly for second. Third was Unbreakable.
Run Dazzle is owned, trained and bred by Carl Anderson.
