The final preparation race for the colts and geldings 2025 three-year-old Classic races will take place on Sunday, May 5, featuring The Kingston, a 7 ½-furlong event.

Eleven colts and geldings are entered in this race, which is viewed as a competitive event.

The Quick Galloper’s assessment of The Kingston is as follows:

1 - SECRET SENSATION: A chestnut colt (April 16) by Sensational Slam out of Secret Cat, trained by Carl Anderson with Anthony Allen riding. The only maiden in this race. It will be challenging for him to compete against winners. He races with the figure eight off. IN FOR THE EXPERIENCE!

2 - RUNAWAY STAR: A chestnut colt (April 18) by Northern Giant out of Runaway Gal, trained by Jason DaCosta with Raddesh Roman aboard. Disqualified from first place in the Prince Consort after a strong performance. Recent encouraging exercise spins suggest he is ready for The Kingston. He can lead or come from behind. STRONG CONTENDER!

3 - MY ECLIPSE: A bay colt (March 31) by Sensational Slam out of My Episode, trained by Phillip Lee with Eric Haughton as the designated rider. Races with a tongue tie on. Performed well against foreigners on February 8 but did not follow up in the next outing. Could be a contender for the exotic wagers. GOOD OUTSIDER!

4 - SENSATIONAL SOUL: A chestnut colt (March 1) by Soul Warrior out of Red Gold, trained by Gary Subratie with Shane Ellis riding. Recorded one victory from four starts. Appears to be better suited for longer distances, which might benefit him in The Kingston. WATCH CLOSELY!

5 - MR LEE: A grey colt (April 7) by Spieth out of Kipling Weekend, trained by Lee Clarke with Omar Walker aboard. CAN BE RULED OUT!

6 - I'M OUTSTANDING: A bay colt (April 25) by Conquest Cherimash out of Wheels of Law, trained by Peter-John Parsard with Phillip Parchment riding. Won last against moderate rivals. This will be a learning experience for him. RANKED OUTSIDER!

7 - BOSS MAN: A bay colt (March 28) by Bern Identity out of Miss Boss Lady, trained by Peter-John Parsard with Oneil Mullings riding. Races with blinkers on. Achieved one victory against lower-rated opponents. May be challenged since The Kingston could be a tough test for him. A PLACE ON THE BOARD!

8 - STRONG MIND: A bay colt (March 24) by Casual Trick out of Charming Beauty, trained by Patrick Lynch with Shane Richardson aboard. Races with the figure eight on. Has not performed well following a promising start as a two-year-old. Needs to improve significantly to compete effectively. OUTSIDER!

9 - BROMPTON BOY: A bay colt (April 10) by Casual Trick out of Eye Candy, trained by Anthony Nunes with Wesley Henry as the designated rider. Achieved his first victory on the fourth attempt against moderate opposition. Must show considerable improvement to succeed in this race. OUTSIDER!10 - I DREAM AGAIN: A bay colt (June 3) by Soul Warrior out of Lady Najariya, trained by Jason DaCosta with Robert Halledeen riding. Performed well in the 7-furlong Prince Consort Stakes, leading for a significant portion. Shows potential for a share of the purse with normal progression. CAN HIT THE BOARD!

11 - MARK MY IDENTITY: A chestnut colt (March 5) by Bern Identity out of Sweet Like Sugar, trained by Enos Brown with Reyan Lewis riding. Races with blinkers off and first-time Lasix. Prefers longer distances, and typically finishes strongly from behind in races. This will be the longest distance he has raced in his career. WILL BE IN THE MIX!
