KINGSTON, Jamaica - The second race on Saturday, March 8, 2025, is a three-year-old maiden special weight featuring six foreign entrants. The race distance is five furlongs round.
The Quick Galloper’s take on the possible outcome is published below for readers of this website to peruse.
1 - BOWMORE is a bay colt (USA April 10) by Complexity out of Colonel Dettwiller, trained by Phillip Lee with Dane Dawkins riding. Bowmore has shown speed in his last race (February 23) at 6 ½ furlongs but faltered later in the race. With a shorter distance and equipment changes, tongue tie and cheekpieces on, he is primed to do better.
2 - PRINCESS KRIS is a bay filly (USA April 1) by Goldencents out of Sugar Babe, trained by Norman Smith with Chris Mamdeen as the jockey. In her four starts, she has not performed well, and this trend is expected to continue on Saturday.
3 - RALPHS TREASURE is a bay colt (USA February 3) by Honest Mischief out of Belleza, trained by Gary Subratie with Javaniel Patterson riding. This colt is making his debut after training moderately. He is expected to gain from this experience.
4 - RICORICORICO is a bay colt (February 3) by Win Win Win out of Frosty Nightmare, trained by Jason DaCosta with Raddesh Roman as the jockey. He has raced twice, finishing third and second. Ricoricorico has shown improvement in training and is facing less competitive rivals in his races.
5 - ALMASTY LIST is a dark bay filly (CAN May 28) by Almasty out of My List, trained by Gregg Fennell with Trevor Simpson riding. After three attempts, Almasty List still needs improvement.
6 - THOUSAND TREASURE is a dark bay colt (USA February 20) by Thousand Words out of Tabitha, trained by Gary Subratie with Emelio McLean as the rider. He appears to be the stronger of the two Subratie horses and has shown good form in training, likely to have a strong first performance.
