Trainer Gordon Lewis, jockey Chalrick Budhai score rare win – as D M Cutie at 2-1 takes first race

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The first of the 10 races on the Saturday card at Caymanas Park saw trainer Gordon Lewis and jockey Chalrick Budhai combining to win one of their rare races, this time with the mare D M Cutie.

The event – a claimer for horses in the bracket of $250,000 - $200,000 saw Budhai bringing D M Cutie from the four draw in the four furlong straight offering to the outside rails.

Thereafter they were never challenged and in the end D M Cutie had 1 ¾ lengths to spare over second place Lady Carmen – Anthony Thomas – 4-1) with Dr Banner (Ruja Lahoe -6-1) earning the third spot.

The winning time was 48.2.
