KINGSTON, Jamaica - The ninth race on Saturday, January 11, 2025, features locally bred four-year-olds who are non-winners of two and also includes maiden four-year-old foreigners.
This contest, run over two turns measuring nine furlongs and 25 yards, will showcase eight competitors.
It looks like an exciting battle between the imported Titan Tempo and the locally based Lucy In The Sky.
The Quick Galloper’s analysis of the contenders is as follows:
1 - DON’T TELL LOU LOU is outclassed in this race.
2 - TITAN TEMPO came up just a short head shy on January 1, competing at 6 ½ furlongs after a determined late surge in the final half-furlong. This will be Titan Tempo's first attempt at two turns, but considering his running style, it shouldn’t pose a problem.
3 - THE CHIEF DISSIDENT is still acclimating to this level of competition. The learning curve remains a factor for this colt.
4 - LUCY IN THE SKY has been progressively improving in her recent performances. With experience racing over two turns, she has a significant advantage as she aims for her second victory.
5 - HIT N RUN is not well-suited for this race.
6 - SEA PLANE is adapting to this level of competition and should be in contention for a top four finish.
7 - NEVER will not be a significant contender in this race.
8 - THE GENERAL is gradually finding his footing among these competitors and will improve over time.
