KINGSTON, Jamaica - The seventh race on Saturday, January 11, 2025, is the OTB Appreciation Trophy.

This trophy event features locally bred horses aged four and up who are non-winners of three, along with foreign bred four-year-olds who are non-winners of two.

Five horses will compete for victory over a distance of seven furlongs.

Below is The Quick Galloper’s analysis of the potential outcome of this race:

1 - ZULU WARRIOR has shown improvement since moving into this grade. He finished third on December 24, finishing three lengths behind Fearless Force and Immeasurable Joy while racing over six furlongs. The switch of riders from Calvin Bailey to Tevin Foster increases the chances of Zulu Warrior's success, especially with the distance extension adding to his prospects.

2 - J SPIETH is making his debut in this grade after a hard-fought victory on December 24 that influenced the final standings of the jockeys’ championship. In that race, J Spieth came from behind in a six-furlong race, making the seven-furlong distance feel just right.

3 - QUEEN OF SOUL has struggled with form in her last two outings. Furthermore, she has not attempted more than six furlongs in her last eight starts. She is expected to take an early lead and will need to be caught.

4 - PRINCESS AKILAH, at five years old, is the oldest horse in this race and may face challenges against her competitors.
