KINGSTON, Jamaica - The seventh event on Saturday, December 21, 2024,  is a non-four for three and four-year-olds at a mile.

There are seven horses entered, all three-year-olds.

The Quick Galloper’s assessment of the seven starters is provided below.

1 - AMMA: A bay filly (February 3) by Bern Identity out of Blufield, trained by Peter-John Parsard with Dick Cardenas riding. This filly has pace and will be close to the lead. The distance suits her well, so she must be monitored closely.

2 - KAYLYN MELODY: A bay filly by Casual Trick out of Darlin, trained by Robert Pearson with Christopher Mamdeen in the saddle. After securing her second win 14 days ago, Kaylyn Melody enters this new class; she may need to bide her time here.

3 - KING PIYE: A chestnut colt (April 2) by Admiral Alex out of Jamaica Pharoah, trained by Anthony Nunes with Reyan Lewis aboard. He recently recorded his second win on November 30, but it is his first time in this class, so he needs to wait.

4 - BATTLE ANGEL: A chestnut filly (May 18) by Bern Identity out of Angel Dreams, trained by Anthony Nunes with Aaron Chatrie riding. She has been consistent, with her second victory coming on November 23. Battle Angel will excel in the straight.

5 - MACK AND ROME: A bay colt (February 5) by Bold Conquest out of Gold Miner, trained by Saqlain Roman with Raddesh Roman as jockey. This colt prefers to race from the front. He finished second, two lengths behind Supremasi at seven furlongs on December 7. Currently in fine form, with little competition for the lead, Mack And Rome is one to catch.

6 - CAPTAIN SPARROW: A bay colt (March 16) by Savoy Stomp out of Rackam’s Mistress, trained by Anthony Nunes with Tevin Foster riding. He struggled last time out, finishing tenth and ten lengths behind Supremasi on December 7. Throughout ten starts, Captain Sparrow has become a strong come-from-behind runner, requiring a fast pace against this field.

7 - FRANCIS: A bay filly (March 13) by Savoy Stomp out of Jazzy Jet, trained by Richard Azan with Dane Dawkins aboard. She enters this category in good form but will need to be patient.
