KINGSTON, Jamaica - As excitement builds for the upcoming 2024 Mouttet Mile Raceday (December 7), Quickgallopja.com and its YouTube Channel - The Quick Galloper take a moment to reflect on the thrilling 2023 Bruceontheloose Sprint, where a significant change in results left fans and connections buzzing.

The 2023 Bruceontheloose, held over 6 ½ furlongs in the Open Allowance category, saw first-past-the-post Desert Of Malibu disqualified, paving the way for a new victor.

Here’s a recap of the race participants in finishing order:

FIRST - I’VE GOT MAGIC
The US import was declared the winner after the stewards' decision overturned the initial results. However, luck on the racetrack has not followed this significant victory. Since that win, I've Got Magic has struggled with a series of ailments, leading to an absence from competitive racing.

SECOND - FREEDOM STREET
A stalwart at the Overnight Allowance level, Freedom Street has shown consistent performance, frequently finishing in the frame. Despite these efforts, victory has proven elusive for this competitor as the quest for a win continues to be a challenging endeavour.

THIRD - MADELYN’S SUNSHINE
Despite high hopes, Madelyn’s Sunshine has not blossomed as anticipated. Lacking regular racing appearances, it's likely her health issues have hindered her progress. Currently competing in Overnight races, her future remains uncertain as connections seek a return to form.

FOURTH - DESERT OF MALIBU
After the disqualification, Desert Of Malibu has made remarkable strides in her career. Now considered one of the top three racers in the country, she rebounded from another disqualification with an appeal that reinstated her as the rightful winner in a competitive field. As we head into the 2024 Mouttet Mile on December 7, she is one of the leading contenders, proving her undoubted talent.

FIFTH - OUTBIDDER
Unfortunately, Outbidder has yet to reach her potential goals on the racetrack and has officially retired.

SIXTH - LABAN
Though age is creeping up, Laban continues to be a reliable place performer within the Overnight ranks. His enduring presence on the track speaks to his experience and determination, even as younger competitors emerge.

SEVENTH - ROJORN DI PILOT
Rojorn Di Pilot has exited the racing scene.

8 - LUKSOL
Luksol has been withdrawn from competitive racing.
