KINGSTON, Jamaica - Seven fillies will contest the fourth race on Sunday, November 17, 2024.
Seven fillies will race against each other over 5 ½ furlongs, in a three-year-old maiden call on Sunday, November 16, 2024.
The Quick Galloper analyses the chances of each of the seven starters below.
1 - BOMB NIGHT is a chestnut filly (April 15) by Soul Warrior out of Mom Rules, trained by Marlon Brown with Matthew Bennet aboard. Bomb Night is making her debut against a weak set of opponents. Bomb Night is a well-bred filly who has been moving with confidence in the mornings. A good effort is expected.
2 - PRINCESS CATALEYA is a bay filly (February 2) by Casual Trick out of Classical Princess, trained by Patrick Lynch with Raddesh Roman riding. Both the trainer and the jockey are in the top of their form at the moment. Princess Cataleya came thundering home on last (October 19) coming down the five straight chute. On Sunday, Princess Cataleya tries her luck on the round course with the extra real estate in her favour. Has to be respected.
3 - CHINITA ESTRELLA is a bay filly (March 9) by Sunshine N Sunshine, trained by Steven Todd with Tevin Foster holding the reins. Note that Chinita Estrella races with the blinkers on. Just failed on November 2, losing by a neck to Happy Force at five furlongs straight. Then Chinita Estrella was beaten by a colt, while on Sunday, she goes against only her own sex. Chinita Estrella deserves a lot of respect.
4 - MALAYAN QUEEN is a chestnut filly (March 15) by Midnight Hawk out of Michelle The Boss, trained by Colin Ferguson with Christopher Mamdeen in the saddle. Cannot be recommended for success in this one.
5 - LIL’ MAGGIE is a bay filly (May 5) by Legal Process out of Maggie’s Way, trained by Donovan Thompson with Akeen Grant as the designated rider. Slowly finding her way, with Sunday’s encounter another movement on the learning curve.
6 - UNDECLARED WAR is a chestnut filly (March 17) by Admiral Alex out of Naseen, trained by Cashbert Khwalsingh with Roger Hewitt aboard. Note that Undeclared War races with the visor off. Coming off a long break of 70 days. Will need the run.
7 - ROMAN PRINCESS is a chestnut filly (April 1) by Soul Warrior out of Lovely Day, trained by Saqlain Roman with Jerome Innis riding. Has not shown anything of substance in recent times. This trend will continue on Sunday.
