Eight Juveniles Debut In Wide Open 2nd On Sat, Oct 26, 2024

ON THE TRAILFOUR

KINGSTON, Jamaica - The second race on Saturday, October 26, 2024, is a two-year-old maiden call in which eight first-timers will enter the starting gates for the first occasion.

The Quick Galloper’s assessment of these eight starters is published below in draw order.

1 - HAZELNUT is a chestnut filly (March 16) by Soul Warrior out Money Magnet, trained by Richard Azan with Dane Dawkins riding. Has caught the eyes of onlookers in the mornings. Said to be progressing well and even from the one draw is going to give a good account of herself.

2 - STRONG MIND is a bay colt (March 24) by Casual Trick out of Charming Beauty, trained by Patrick Lynch with Raddesh Roman aboard. Another who has been doing well at morning exercise. Strong Mind comes highly recommended and can start his career with a win.

3- GIANT VIGOROUS is a bay filly (January 9) by Here Comes Ben out of Glorious Cause, trained by Rowan Mathie with Rudolph Paige aboard. A well-built filly, who with time will make the winning grade.

4 - ALL TOGETHER is a dark brown filly (February 15) by Patton Proud out of Storm Girl, trained by Ryan Darby with Oneil Mullings holding the reins. Based on exercise reports cannot be recommended for a winning effort on debut.

5 - MIGHTY GULLY is a bay filly (April 21) by Buzz Nightmare out of Lady Exotic, trained by Robert Pearson with Abigail Able in the saddle. Said to be a speedy sort, who will be with the early pacesetters. Not expected to last.

6 - SUCCESSFUL GIRL is a bay filly (March 8) by Successful Native out of Rudy Girl, trained by Steadman Curtis with Jemar Jackson riding.  Going well in the mornings with connections expecting a worthy effort.

7 - KIMUCHI is a bay filly (February 7) by Conquest Cherimash out of Hurricane Michelle, trained by Ryan Darby with Youville Pinnock the jockey atop. Moving well in the mornings and is expected to be close when the winning post arrives.

8 - IDEAL WINNA is a bay colt (May 18) by Spieth out of Winesha, trained by Dalton Sirjue with Tevin Foster as the designated jockey. Ideal Winna has shown some amount of speed at exercise and drawn on the outside will deliver a respectful run-on debut.
