KINGSTON, Jamaica – Exhilarate demonstrating a distinct likeness for the very wet track now on offer at the Park created a big 11-1 upset in the Gladiator Trophy (seven furlongs), which was the seventh race (Open Allowance) on the Saturday card.

Ridden by Aaron Chatrie, Exhilarate came out in front and was never headed with the jockey keeping her locked to the inside rails for the entire seven furlongs.

There was a private battle involving Superluminal (Omar Walker – 5-1) and the prohibitive 1-9 on favourite Toona Ciliata (Dane Nelson) which ended with the former finishing second and Toona Ciliata third.
