KINGSTON, Jamaica – As if confirming the heavy underfoot conditions at the track following heavy downpours of rain, Breaking Storm turned out to be a runaway winner of the fifth race on the Saturday programme at Caymanas Park.

The event taken by Breaking Storm with piles of water on the track was a Maiden Special Weight for four-year-olds and upwards run over six furlongs.

After an exchange of front runners, jockey Phillip Parchment aboard the Neive Graham trained Breaking Storm shot to the lead after two furlongs and thereafter there were no challengers, winning in the end at odds of 6-5.

Second was Ratio (Oneil Mullings – 2-1) with the third slot occupied by Robin’s Quest (Natalie Berger – 2-1).

The winning time was 1:16.2, with Breaking Storm winning by 5 ¾ lengths.
