The race was a three-furlong straight contest and from the off, Porter settled Freedom For Eds in mid-track but he had push hard in the final stages to thwart the challenges of Reign Over All (second -Anthony Thomas – 7-1) and Royal Girl (third - Raddesh Roman – 7-5).
The exacta (Freedom For Eds – Reign Over All) paid $26,930 while there were carryovers in the Trifecta (rare occurrence), Superfecta and the Hi-5.
