KINGSTON, Jamaica – As the night followeth the day, so it was ordained that jockey Dane Nelson is once again the winner of two races.
Nelson after riding two five-timers in the last three weeks made it two in a row on the Saturday card (November 30) at Caymanas Park with an easy win atop the Anthony Nunes trained Adonis.
Nelson waited on Adonis (2-5) as Talented Tony K (Anthony Allen – 9-5) along with Polly B (Abigail Able – 9-1) sped off to set the early fractions.
Then Adonis got going when the runners hit the main track in the Optional Claiming ($650,000 - $600,000) event run down the five straight course.
Second was Polly with third going to Talented Tony K.
Adonis ran a smart time of 59.2 for the distance.
