Double for Steven Todd as the Dane Nelson winning train gets rolling with Lion of Judah at 7-1

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Trainer Steven Todd who is having his best ever season took control of the Saturday race meeting by winning the first two races.

After taking home Luana in the first, the Todd trainee Lion of Judah running from the number 7 draw in a Restricted Allowance IV event for five-year-olds and upwards run over five furlongs straight, found his best hoofs in the final half-a-furlong to win by 1 ½ lengths with the man of the moment, jockey Dane Nelson in the saddle.

This second win on the day by Todd was his 38th for the season. Lion of Judah surprisingly won at 7-1 with is a rarity for winners ridden by Nelson.

Second went to Lady Budget (Roger Hewitt – 52-1) with third being the spot occupied by Boss Izzy (Kiaman McGregor 8-1). The 3-2 favourite Let It Snow finished out of the frame.

The winning time for the contested distance was 1:02.4.
