QUICK GALLOPER 3

KINGSTON, Jamaica - The sixth race on Saturday, August 17, 2024, is a call for three-year-old fillies only at six and a half furlongs.

Ten are entered to compete with The Quick Galloper’s analysis, which is shared for readers in draw order.

1 - AWESOME LINE (May 13) by Midnight Hawk out of South, trained by Lorenzo Robinson with Carlos Blake in the saddle and had a horrendous passage on his last outing (July 27). A better route will see Awesome Line getting closer but not enough to win.

2 - DOVE (March 20) by Seeking My Dream out of Sea of Galilee, trained by Ian Alexander with Richard Henry riding. Can be dispatched from the reckoning.

3 - SHELLY THE ROCKET (February 3) by Tapilu out of My Queen, trained by Renex Burrell with Roger Hewitt aboard. Blast-off is not a reality in this one. Note that Shelly The Rocket races with the tongue tie and figure eight off.

4 - MALAYAN QUEEN (March 15) by Midnight Hawk out of Michelle The Boss, trained by Colin Ferguson with Shavon Townsend holding the reins. Stumble on debut (April 14), then was declared a late non-starter (lame) when next nominated to race. These are not encouraging signs. Note that Malayan Queen races with the tongue tie off.

5 - ADIRA (April 2) by Hedge Fund out of Thisgirlisonfire, trained by Carlton Cunningham with Tevin Foster as the designated jockey. Racing for the second occasion. On his debut Adira finished third - 8 ½ lengths behind Trust Fund Baby. Should have benefitted from that first outing, and as such forward progress is expected.

6 - LADY SARSUTTA (May 5) by Here Comes Ben out of Lady Sharvani, trained by Fitzgerald Richards with Roderick DaCosta in the saddle. Needs much more time to find herself. Note that Lady Sarsutta races with the tongue tie off.

7 - SWEET BERN (March 26) by Bern Identity out of Honey Ryda, trained by Richard Azan with Raddesh Roman riding. Has been making some progress but not enough to be considered the winner. Will hit the board, good for the exotics.

8 - PRINCESS CATALEYA (February 2) by Casual Trick out of Classical Princess. Despite showing some semblance of worth, in not under winning consideration in this one. Note that Princess Cataleya races with first time Lasix.

9 - VALLEY OF LOVE (March 30) by Spieth out of May Flower, trained by Phillip Elliott with Shane Richardson aboard. Has an outsider’s chance of getting home in front.

10 - UNDECLARED WAR (March 17) by Admiral Alex out of Naseen, trained by Alford Brown with Oshane Nugent holding the reins. Note that Undeclared War races with the tongue tie off. Will have to wait with her best option being a place I n the top four.
