KINGSTON, Jamaica – Bettors on today’s 10-race card at Caymanas started to scramble after the running of the third event when 23-1 longshot Eddie’s Princess came home as the winner.

Trained by Paul Smith with jockey Oneil Mullings providing guidance, Eddie’s Princess drawn at one stuck to the rails from the get-go as the odds on 4-5 favourite Ballon d’Or (Omar Walker) decided to lead in the $450,000 - $400,000 claiming contest run over 7 ½ furlongs.

In the straight, Mullings kept Eddie’s Princess going and the pair got the job done by 1 ¼ lengths.

Flying Machine (Dane Nelson) came running on for second with Blood Song (Shane Nelson) third.

The winning time was 1:35.0.

The exacta paid a whopping $7,361 while Trifecta came in at $6,332.
