Top Trainers To Decide First 2024 Juvenile Call

KINGSTON, Jamaica - Five fillies will be competing in the first two-year-old event of 2024.

The race is three furlongs long, and below are the assessments for each filly in post-position order by The Quick Galloper.

1 - LOVISA: Lovisa is a chestnut filly (April 15) by Soul Warrior out of Palace Gold. She is trained by Jason DaCosta with Robert Halledeen riding. Palace Gold has already produced Will The Conquerer, Rani Bangala, and Rejected Raja. Lovisa is described as quite speedy and progressing well. On July 26, she galloped four furlongs straight in 50.0 seconds.

2 - BAD GAL CALEESI: Bad Gal Caleesi is a bay filly (January 19) by Buzz Nightmare out of Turbinia. She is trained by Howard Bailey with Matthew Bennett aboard. Turbinia has already produced Don Peppa Seed, Mac Mac, Uncle Bunny, Bad Gal Hillary, Bad Boy Trump, and Bigman Biden. She is said to be slowly but surely finding her way.

3 - MISS MONEYPENNY: Miss Moneypenny is a chestnut filly (March 26) by Bern Identity out of Pomeroy’s Secret. She is trained by Jason DaCosta with Tevin Foster as the jockey. Pomeroy’s Secret has already produced Secret Identity. She is described as one of the more advanced juveniles and is believed to be ready for her first battle.

4 - PLATINUM PRINCESS: Platinum Princess is a bay filly (January 17) by Bern Identity out of Native Gold. She is trained by Anthony Nunes with Raddesh Roman listed as the jockey. Based on her exercise spins, Platinum Princess is expected to play a part in the outcome. 

5 - BADGAL CHELSEA: Badgal Chelsea is a bay filly by Midnight Hawk out of Karlie. She is trained by Howard Bailey with Aaron Chatrie riding. Karlie has already produced Babylon Will Fall. She is expected to learn and develop.
