KINGSTON, Jamaica - Jockey Shane Ellis was again in the winners’ enclosure at the Woodbine race track in Canada.
Ellis partnered the Anthony Pottinger trained Ambitious Lass to victory in the first race of ten races on Saturday, June 29, 2024.
The event was a Maiden Special Weight for two-year-old fillies on the all-weather track at six furlongs.
The post-race report reads as follows: “AMBITIOUS LASS seized control from the onset, dictated the pace unopposed around the turn, opened up on rivals turning for home, was kept to the task to the finish line and cruised home for the front end score”.
