KINGSTON, Jamaica - On Saturday, June 22, 2024, the second race is for locally bred three-year-olds (non-winners of two) and maiden three-year-old and older foreign fillies and mares.

It will take place over a distance of 6 ½ furlongs.

- LUCY IN THE SKY: This bay filly, born on March 23, is sired by Liquidity and out of Tap A Bay Yankee. She is trained by Jason DaCosta and will be ridden by Ricardo Duhaney. However, she has not shown any progress as a three-year-old and is unlikely to be a contender in this race.

- PINEAPPLE: This dark bay filly from the USA was born on April 16 and is sired by Palace Malice out of Erzulie Dantor. Trained by Patrick Lynch, with Jerome Innis aboard, Pineapple races with a figure eight on. Although she did not impress on her debut on May 11, recent reports indicate that she has been training well and her time to shine may be approaching soon.

- BATTLE ANGEL: This chestnut filly, born on May 18, is sired by Bern Identity out of Angel Dreams. Trained by Anthony Nunes with jockey Oshane Nugent, Battle Angel finished fourth in her last race, 11 lengths behind the winner. She is showing improvement, but the change from the in-form Raddesh Roman to Oshane Nugent is not seen as very encouraging.

- SPINAL TAPIT: A bay filly from the USA, born on April 12, sired by Tiznow out of Illapa. Trained by Ryan Darby, with Reyan Lewis as the jockey, Spinal Tapit is a highly regarded first-time foreigner. She has been performing well in training sessions and is expected to be a strong contender in the race, especially with the champion jockey on board.

- MAGNIFICENT FORCE: This dark bay filly from the USA was born on April 29 and is sired by Cloud Computing out of Cocktail Cruise. Trained by Philip Feanny, with Raddesh Roman as the jockey, Magnificent Force has finished second in four out of her five starts. The upcoming race will be her first time competing over a distance longer than six furlongs, since her opening run which is seen as a potential advantage.

- POPE’S LADY: A bay filly from the USA, born on February 8, sired by Catholic Boy out of Cheers To That. Trained by Steven Todd, with Robert Halledeen as the jockey, Pope's Lady is known for speed but may struggle to maintain it over the longer distance, as this will be her first time racing longer than 6 furlongs in her last four starts.

- AMMA: This bay filly, born on February 3, is sired by Bern Identity out of Blufield. Trained by Peter-John Parsard, with jockey Paul Francis, she performed poorly in the 1000 Guineas. However, being back in her regular level of competition, Amma is expected to give a better performance in this upcoming race.

- FRANCIS: This bay filly, born on March 13, is sired by Savoy Stomp out of Jazzy Jet. Trained by Richard Azan, with Josue Osorio as the jockey, Francis has been fairly consistent, but it is believed she will need more time before winning at this level.

- MIDNIGHT FLIGHT: A grey filly, born on May 8, sired by Midnight Hawk out of Honeymoon Bay. Trained by Byron Davis, with Shane Richardson as the jockey, Midnight Flight showed promise early on in the 1000 Guineas but then faded. It is believed that she will perform better in shorter races.
