KINGSTON, Jamaica - Jockey Javaniel Patterson earned a hard-fought, come-from-behind victory atop the Lise Pruitt-trained, Gold Special in the fourth of seven scheduled races. The distance was six furlongs.
Patterson was able to get Gold Special (#5) in top flight inside the final furlong, to win by a close margin.
The post-race report is as follow: “GOLD SPECIAL stalked duel off rail, rallied between horses, was bumped but the jockey was able to be in front at the winning post.”
