KINGSTON, Jamaica - Following the Classic victories in the 1000 Guineas by Run Julie Run, and the 2000 Guineas by California Crown, both horses now occupy prominent spots on the yearly earnings list, the latter for the first time.
Run Julie Run ridden by Reyan Lewis and trained by Ian Parsard, occupies the third slot with 2024 earnings of $3,944,850, accumulated from four starts. Included in those four starts are two wins and two third-place finishes.
The top spot is held by Atomica, who defeated Is That A Fact in the Eros Trophy (Saturday, June 1). Atomica has a 2024 record of three wins from four starts, with stakes earned of just over $5 million.
Is That A Fact, now in second place ($4,808,900), has a 2024 race return of three wins from six starts, with three second-place efforts.
California Crown entered the 2000 Guineas as the only unbeaten with two wins. Having risen his stock with his gate-to-wire performance in the 2000 Guineas, California Crown has jumped in fifth place on the top 10 list of earnings, carrying home $3,221,400.
