KINGSTON, Jamaica - The eighth race on Saturday, June 1, 2024, is for three-year-old maiden fillies at 5 ½ furlongs.

Ten have answered the call to face the starter, with The Quick Galloper’s take on the possible outcome provided below for readers.

- QUEEN OF SOUL is a chestnut (May 25) by Soul Warrior out of Aretha, trained by Anthony Nunes with Raddesh Roman riding. Note that Queen of Soul races with the blinkers off and the tongue tie on. This well-bred filly has not raced since November 11, 2023. On her first outing, the aptly named Queen of Soul demonstrated her potential finishing just a head behind the winner, Run Julie Run. Queen of Soul has prepared well for this engagement, thereby giving her a live shot of taking home the major slice of the purse money on offer.

- ANOTHER MISSION is a chestnut (March 23) by Bern Identity out of Moonlight Brew, trained by Oral Hayden with Shane Richardson on board. This filly has started to show signs of improvement, yet Another Mission is not quite ready for these opponents. Can be backed in the exotic wagers.

- RACHEAL MANNIN is a chestnut (March 24) by Admiral Alex out of Ricqualia, trained by Enos Brown with Omar Walker holding the reins. Note that Racheal Mannin races with the figure eight off and the cheek pieces on. Racheal Mannin has not raced since February 25, which was her second career start. She has shown a tendency for speed, and will more than likely be on this front end. With normal progress anticipated, Racheal Mannin deserves consideration.

- VALLEY OF LOVE is a bay (March 30) by Spieth out of May Flower, trained by Phillip Elliott with Roger Hewitt in the saddle. Coming along with a position on the board is her best option.

- SHE’S ADORABLE is a bay (February 18) by Hedge Fund out of So Smooth, trained by Carlton Cunningham with Paul Francis as the designated jockey. Needs time.

- RAPIDA is a bay (February 16) by Casual Trick out of Giacomos Pride, trained by Fitzgerald Richards with Tevin Foster riding. Note that Rapida races with the tongue tie off. Will gain some attention as the leading rider has chosen to once again partner.

- TORONADO STEEL is a chestnut (February 22) by Soul Warrior out of Miss Formality, trained by Khary Tucker with Prince Holder aboard. Another case of gaining needed experience.

- HIMAYA is a roan (March 23) by Casual Trick out of Raksha, trained by Jason DaCosta with Josue Osorio holding the reins. Has raced all of 16 times already, and still has a long way to go.

- RUBY’S LIGHT is a bay (May 19) by Casual Trick out of Outrageous, trained by Gary Griffiths with Oshane Nugent in the saddle. Note that Ruby’s Light races with the blinkers and tongue tie-off. Still at the learning stage of her career.

- IMMEASURABLE JOY is a bay (April 23 imported in utero) by War Correspondent out of Moon Over Mallorca, trained by Anthony Nunes with Reyan Lewis as the designated jockey. Had to be checked when she last raced on May 18, yet did well to finish third behind the disqualified Princess Fianie, and Katlyn Melody. Immeasurable Joy now drawn on the outside of this field, should be able to give her best, which can be enough to record her first success.
