KINGSTON, Jamaica - The second event of ten on Saturday, June 1, 2024, card is for locally bred horses - three and four-year-olds non-winners of four races and for three and four-year-old imported horses at the non-winners of three grade coming down the five-furlong straight chute.

Six horses are entered to contest this one, with The Galloper’s assessment published below in draw order.

1 - SPEEDIE HARE has done exceptionally well under the care of her present trainer Carlton Cunningham. Against these, Speedie Hare is going to find it difficult even with her known likeness for the straight.

2 - CHOCOMO was completely outdone on last (May 23) finishing fourth, nine lengths behind winner Grecian Light. Chocomo is still trying to find his way; his day will come again.

3 - COMMANDER Z is one from one in his racing career. That victory came on April 14, over the same distance as this race. Commander Z has now been rested for 48 days during which time; he has prepared well.

4 - EL AFORTUNADO has taken his own sweet time to reach the non-winners of four level. This is his first outing in his new class and will have to wait.

5 - TEFLON DON is an interesting entry. Teflon Don has a career record of two wins from four starts, with both of those wins coming down the five-straight chute. He now races with the figure eight off and is a good bet for the exacta.

6 - FLYBLUEJET will learn from this experience.
