KINGSTON, Jamaica – The brightness of the current undisputed juvenile leader Wow Wow shone in glory on the Diamond Mile Race Day as the two-year-old bay colt won with disdain the first of three races sponsored by the Betting Gaming and Lotteries Commission and Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association Yearling Sale series just moments ago at Caymanas Park.
Wow Wow played around in second position as his jockey Ameth Robles just watched as Another Commander (Javaniel Patterson – 99-1) led in the 5 ½ furlong event.
Then with three furlongs to go, Wow Wow took over and after changing his lead in the straight went on to win by 6 ½ lengths while allowing all six of his rivals 15 lb.
To top off the sparking run by Wow Wow (Casual Trick – Sarah Barracuda) owned and bred by Michael Bernard, clocked a whirlwind time of 1:04.4.
