KINGSTON, Jamaica - “This is an opportunity to push my career and I am taking it,” Patterson recently told Quickgallopja.com just before his move from the local track to Assinboia Downs in Canada.

“It is always good to experience different things in terms of racetracks, and riding against international jockeys as you only learn more and develop your craft better,” Patterson added.

After approximately three weeks in Canada, Patterson reported to Quickgallopja.com, that despite the very cold weather conditions, he is going through the required paces to be ready when the Assinboia season gets underway.

“I am getting along well. Despite the cold, and it is cold over here, I have been doing the work required as the race meet here starts on May 21. Yes, it is cold, it is different but I am good and getting support.

“I am working with an agent, and the hope is that we can get off to a good start.

“I know I have to work hard work to achieve what I want to achieve,” Patterson said.
