KINGSTON, Jamaica - It was expected to be a romp and it was in no uncertain manner for the top two-year-old currently in training Wow Wow who never had to breathe hard as he won the $3,250,000 Cash Pot “Only One For Me” Trophy by a wowing eight lengths.
Wow Wow a bay colt by Casual Trick – Sarah Barracuda in winning his fifth race in a row earned the winners’ purse of $1,774,500 in the six-furlong event.
The start of the event was held up for a long time as Money Monster (Bebeto Harvey) gave no ends of trouble to enter his starting stall and was eventually declared a late non-starter.
When the ruckus settled at the gates and the starter let them go, Wow Wow and regualr rider Ameth Robles went straight to the lead and that was simply that – a wowing victory with a recorded time of 1:12.3.
Tomohawk (Phillip Parchment) ran on well to get second with Cash Is King third.
