KINGSTON, Jamaica - Jockey Omar Walker produced a well-timed ride to get the neck of Union Four in front of tearaway leader (Shamaree Muir) in the final bob to secure victory in the third of 10 races on the Saturday card at the Park.

Union Four trained by veteran Steadman Curtis and racing at odds of 3-1 was well of the pace set by Okahumpka with Shamaree Muir in the saddle. Muir who has made Canada his riding home in recent times was up and down in the saddle, never looking settled at any time.

Walker, on the other hand, was composed as he timed his final effort to perfection waiting until the final furlong to get Union Jack rolling and eventually got the nod by a neck on the line in the Restricted Allowance 111 event run over 5 ½ furlongs.

This was Curtis’ first winner this season from eight starts and also his first in many moons.

Second was Okahumpka at even money with Miss Nancy running on for third.
