KINGSTON, Jamaican – Despite being overwhelmed in the betting at 8-1, first time runner Nipster (Casual Trick – Nippit) displayed good potential when under the guidance of jockey Robert Halledeen he won by five lengths, the feature Front Runner Sprint for maiden two-year-olds covering a distance of 5 ½ furlongs.

It was Versatile Vision (Paul Francis) who shot to the lead when the gates opened with Halledeen sitting pretty just behind on Nipster followed by Fearless Champion (Phillip Parchment).

Versatile Vision increased her lead around the half-mile turn but Nipster was comfortable.

In the straight, Nipster surged ahead in emphatic fashion and then asserted his class pulling away to win by an increasing five lengths.

Versatile Vision was second and Fearless Champion third.

Nipster recorded a fast time of 1:06.1 for the distance covered.
