KINGSTON, Jamaica – Following the first 11 races on today’s (Saturday, October 12) 12 race programme at Caymanas Park when nearly all of these contests were taken by the favourites or by horses well supported in the betting, the nightcap 12th race, proved to be a nightmare for punters especially those wagering on the exotic bets.
The Donovan Russell trained El Gringo won the nightcap at bleeding odds of 42-1.
As a result, four of the exotic wagers (Pick-4 – Pick-9 – Pick-5 and the Twilight-6) all had significant carryovers going into next Saturday’s (October 19) raceday.
The carryovers are as follows:
Pick-4 - $511,906.85
Pick-5 - $423, 730.45
Pick-9 - $419,779.75
Twilight -6 - $1,729,299
