KINGSTON, Jamaica - Now there is absolutely no doubt that based on past performances to date, Triple Crown winner, Diamond Mile winner, and winner of the Superstakes for three consecutive years that She’s A Maneater is the best ever horse to race in the 60 years of horse racing in Jamaica.

She’s A Maneater with Omar Walker, the pilot from her days as a two-year-old became the first female horse to win the Superstakes for three consecutive years.

Trainer Wayne DaCosta, after struggling to win the Superstakes over the history of the race, also came out as a three-time winner. The other horses to win the 10-furlong event three times were Menudo, who actually was a four-time winner, Mark My Word with The Viceroy winning three-times but not consecutively.

The anticipated clash of the Triple Crown winners, She’s A Maneater (2017) and Supreme Soul (2019) did not materialise as Supreme Soul was completely out of sorts and was not able to provide his traditional late burst, instead he finished way down the track and off the board to break his fabulous sequence of eight straight wins.

When the gates opened, She’s A Maneater made a good start but it was Toona Ciliata (Linton Steadman – 5-1) who went for the lead with She’s A Maneater and Sentient (Ameth Robles 34-1) close behind.

Down the backstretch the order remained the same until passing the three-furlong marker when She’s A Maneater challenged Toona Ciliata with Walker barely using his hands. By the time the horses entered the final two furlongs it was obvious to the large crowd at Caymanas that a third Superstakes was done and dusted for She’s A Maneater.

The five-year-old mare was imperious as she pulled away from rivals to win by close to four lengths in a fast 2:05.2 visibly easing down in the final half-a-furlong .

Toona Ciliata was the best of the rest in second with Sentient third.

The splits were 24.3 x 51.0 x 1:14.3 x 1:38.1.

She's A Maneater provided DaCosta and Walker with their third winner on the day.
