KINGSTON, Jamaica – Trainer, owner and breeder Carl “The Catman” Anderson secured a fine double in the first two races on the Super Sunday race day at Caymanas Park just moments ago.

Anderson’s second winner came courtesy of Jamaican Storm, the 1-2 favourite ridden by Shane Ellis in a Maiden Special Weight for four-year-olds and upwards run over 6 ½ furlongs.

The ever waiting Ellis watched in fifth place as stablemate of Jamaican Storm, Dynamax Cat (Anthony Allen 4-1) tried to steal the show by going in front. At one time Dynamax Cat was six to seven lengths clear of Whatever (Reyan Lewis 2-1) but Dynamax Cat gave up easily when they entered the straight with Whatever taking up the running and by this time Jamaican Storm was getting closer and closer.

After a brief tussle, Ellis who started to use the whip only after passing the furlong marker prevailed by 1 ¼ lengths over Whatever with a weary Dynamax Cat third.

The winning time was 1:24.4.
