KINGSTON, Jamaica – After a fierce tussle in the last furlong of the five round second event, Adoring Lady was able to last home by a short head to give jockey Delroy Beharie and trained Patrick Lynch the victory.
Adoring Lady prevailed in a $450,000 to $400,000 claiming event run over five furlongs round, the second offering on the Saturday card at Caymanas Park.
At the off, it was Stanislaus (Phillip Parchment) who shot to the lead with Adoring Lady three to four lengths behind.
Adoring Lady and Beharie took over in the straight moving away from rivals but Holy Light (Roger Hewitt) began to gain quickly on the leader and in a tense battle a whirling and swirling Beharie barely lasted.
Third went to A Seh Soup (Hakeem Pottinger).
The winning time was 1:01.4.
