KINGSTON, Jamaica – Benefitting from the outside draw in the sixth race – a Restricted Allowance 11 for three-year-olds who are non-winners of two – Sure Cote came with a telling run under strong handling to take the event run over five furlongs straight.
Trained by Wayne DaCosta and running at odds of 3-1, Mullings and Sure Cote wore down long-time leader Trevor’s Choice with Arthur Budhu in the irons winning in a time of 58.4 seconds.
Trevor’s Choice for the first time since September of last year also at 3-1 was second with the running on Outrageous (Roger Hewitt) third.
