KINGSTON, Jamaica - On November 4, 2023, four-year-old bay colt Neo Star celebrated his fourth consecutive victory at the races.
Trainer Peter-John Parsard was thrilled with Neo Star's performance in the native-bred four-year-old and upwards (non-winners of four) and imported four-year-old and upwards (non-winners of three) 7-furlong race.
Neo Star made his debut on August 26, placing second to Premier Identity in a 5-furlong straight course. However, he quickly found his stride in the following races. The Neolithic - Angel Dreams offspring first tasted victory on September 9 as he triumphed in a 6½-furlong (1,300m) race with a time of 1:23.4.
He continued to rise through the ranks, seizing wins in the non-winners of two over 7½ furlongs and non-winners of three over 7 furlongs. Neo Star's winning time for the latter was recorded at 1:29.0.
In his latest race on November 4, Neo Star demonstrated great resolve as he fought off competitors to secure his winning streak. With famed jockey Dane Dawkins at the helm, Neo Star tactfully trailed behind the competition for most of the race before making an impressive charge in the final stretch to reestablish his lead.
Ultimately, Neo Star narrowly triumphed over Gracefully Made (Raddesh Roman), finishing just a neck ahead at the wire. Posing Already (Phillip Parchment) came in third place with a final recorded time of 1:27.2.
