KINGSTON, Jamaica – Innovator under the guidance of apprentice Daniel Satchell came with a scorching run in the final half-a-furlongs in the seven-furlong contest for Restricted Allowance 1V – non-winners of three horses four-year-olds and up to go by then leader Dyna’s Pride (Shane Ellis) to win by an increasing margin of 1 ¼ lengths.

In winning, Innovator trained by bang-in-form trainer Patrick Lynch broke the trend of the previous four races being taken by odds-on favourites. Innovator won at odds of 5-2.

It was a well ridden race by Satchell who had Innovator with the leaders when the gates opened before pulling out his mount to seventh. Leaving the three-furlong point in the race, Innovator moved down nicely and by the time the leaders entered the straight was about third-fourth ready to strike. And strike Innovator and Satchell did to win in a time of 1:26.2.

Dyna’s Pride (Shane Ellis) was second with She’s Symbolic third.
