KINGSTON, Jamaica - The seventh race on Saturday, October 14, 2023, honours former Triple Crown winner Mark My Word.
The Mark My Word Trophy is an Open Allowance event for three-year-old and older horses, covering nine furlongs and 25 yards.
Six horses were initially entered, but #3 I Realise has been declared a late non-starter. Below is The Quick Galloper's assessment of the five remaining starters:
1 – OUTBIDDER is merely filling the ranks and cannot compete effectively against these opponents.
2 – D HEAD CORNERSTONE is gradually adapting to this group. Comfortable with the two-turn distance of nine furlongs and 25 yards, he is expected to give a solid performance.
3 – I REALISE is a late non-starter.
4 – GONE A NEGRIL has no realistic chance of winning.
5 – MINIATURE MAN has faced competitors like Atomica and Runaway Algo in his last four starts. With them absent on Saturday, Miniature Man will have a better opportunity.
6 – BLUE VINYL narrowly missed defeating the impressive three-year-old Is That A Fact 28 days ago. Blue Vinyl is the clear choice.
