KINGSTON, Jamaica – Throughout his career, jockey Kerry-Gayl Robinson has not been considered among the top riders at the park. Often receiving few mounts on race day, Robinson occasionally showcases his skills in the saddle.

One such instance occurred during the first race on Saturday, October 7, 2023 – a three-year-old non-winners of two at six furlongs. Robinson rode the Philip Feanny-trained Fearless Soul, who was racing for only the second time.

As the 2-5 odds-on favourite, Robinson positioned Fearless Soul behind leader Babla, closely followed by Digital Light hugging the inside rails.

Patiently waiting for the right moment, Robinson guided Fearless Soul into third place as they entered the straight on the outside.

At this point, he urged Fearless Soul forward, who utilised his class and pedigree to overtake rivals, winning by 1¼ lengths in a time of 1:13.4.

This victory maintained Fearless Soul's unbeaten record in two career starts and demonstrated Robinson's patience and well-timed strategy, leading to success for himself and the connections of Fearless Soul.

Fearless Soul is an offspring of Soul Warrior out of Rumble, with Rumble already producing Further and Beyond, Above and Beyond, and Outbidder.
