KINGSTON, Jamaica - The ninth race today, Saturday, September 30, 2023, is the RonRon Trophy for locally bred three and four-year-olds (non-winners of four) and imported horses (non-winners of three).
Nine contenders will run the six-furlong contest, as assessed by The Quick Galloper.
– ATLANTIC CONVOY returns after a 133-day hiatus, with one win and placings in all three previous local starts. May need this run for optimal performance.
– DIVINE FORCE resumes racing after a 161-day break, well-prepared and grabbing attention during morning training. May require this outing to regain form but has enough class to compete.
– BAZINGA performed well running in a non-three race for the first time on September 23, finishing third behind Bootylicious and Lady Abhimala over five furlongs. Continues her progress.
– EL AFORTUNADO started strong but has underperformed recently, making consideration difficult.
– MILOS boasts three wins in six career starts, with his last victory over six furlongs. Expected not to engage in the anticipated warm pace, but will be coming at them in the lane.
– LADY ABHIMALA has made impressive strides with speed as her greatest strength. Should just about manage six furlongs. Needs to be caught to lose.
– NORBLAR moves to this grade for the first time but may require additional time to adapt.
– BURNING VALOR appears unprepared to compete with this level of competition.
– LEGIT BOSS consistently performs well yet lacks her previous prowess at age two. Possesses potential for a win.
