KINGSTON, Jamaica – The third race on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Caymanas Park was one filled with weird circumstances.
First, Dane Dawkins replaced Reyan Lewis on Another Champion, then Miss HJF got stuck in the gates, leaving only four horses to actually compete.
In the straight, Dawkins fell from Another Champion thereby paving the way for Jaxson with Oshane Nugent aboard for trainer Renex Burrell to score a facile victory.
It was a rare success for both Nugent, and Burrell.
