Unruly Dude, trained by Oral Hayden and ridden by Dane Dawkins, easily obliged as the favourite in a native-bred four-year-old and upwards (non-winners of two) and imported four-year-olds and upwards (maidens) at 6 furlongs on Sunday, September 10, 2023.
Unruly Dude wasted no time, shooting to the front of the pack as soon as the starting gates open.
Unruly Dude was taken back a bit by Dawkins, who allowed Adenosine (Samantha Fletcher) to take up the running going into the half-turn turn.
Dawkins then said go and Unruly Dude drew alongside Adenosine at the top of the straight before pulling away in deep stretch to win the race by 4 ¼ lengths in a time of 1:15.4 (23.3 x 48.2).
Print Quality (Reyan Lewis) finished second and Diamond Rock (Ramon Nepare) slotted in third place.
