KINGSTON, Jamaica – A patient ride by improving apprentice Kiaman McGregor on Lion of Judah brought victory in the second event on the mid-week card currently in progress at Caymanas Park.
The event was a Restricted Allowance V for five-year-olds and up – non-winners of five run over five furlongs round.
McGregor waited on Lion of Judah as Rohan’s Cattleya (Chris Mamdeen) and Emperor’s Treasure vied for the early pickings.
In the straight, a wall of five horses was spread across the track but the always adventurous McGregor pushed Lion of Judah through on the inside rails to claim the win by ¾ length.
Lion of Judah went off at odds of 2-1.
Second went to Classy Vishala (Roger Hewitt 6-1) while Son of Spartacus (Linton Steadman – 4-1) was third.
