KINGSTON, Jamaica - On Saturday, September 2, 2023, Sunshine Cat, a nine-year-old chestnut mare by Twilight Time out of Burning Clearance, made a remarkable achievement in Jamaica's racing history when she won the day’s seventh race.
This victory marked her fourth consecutive win, with each victory for a different trainer yet ridden by the same jockey, Oneil Mullings.
Sunshine Cat's winning streak began on June 10 for trainer Ryan Darby at seven furlongs, followed by a win on July 1 for trainer Oral Hayden at the same distance.
She continued to triumph on July 29 for trainer Anthony Dixon at 7½ furlongs and sealed her unique record on September 2 for trainer Peter-John Parsard, also covering 7½ furlongs.
