KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Tevin Foster celebrated his 200th career victory at Caymanas Park on Sunday, August 27, 2023, as he rode the Anthony Nunes-trained Hoist The Mast to triumph in the first event of the day's 10-race card.

Covering a distance of 5½ furlongs (1,100m) in the three-year-old and upwards Optional Claiming ($550,000-$450,000) contest, Hoist The Mast trounced competitors by an impressive margin of 11 lengths, finishing at a time of 1:07.0.

"Reaching 200 wins at Caymanas Park is an overwhelming achievement for me. It has taken five years of hard work, patience, confidence, and dedication to get to this significant milestone," Foster said.

"My journey in the sport has had its ups and downs, so this milestone holds a special place in my heart.

I would like to express my gratitude to everyone for their encouragement, support, and advice over the years; none of this would have been possible without my support crew and fans," Foster added.

Hoist The Mast swiftly navigated past other horses after leaving the gates and led the pack heading into the half-mile (800m) turn. A Seh Soup (Shamaree Muir), Noble Impulse (Anthony Allen), and One Like It (Dane Dawkins) trailed behind as they approached the finish line.

Owned by Raymond Cameron, Hoist The Mast maintained a comfortable lead entering the final stretch and kept a steady pace until victory. One Like It secured second place while Sudden Flight (Shane Richardson) clinched third.
