KINGSTON, Jamaica – Lion of Ekati, was the last out of the gates as is usually the case but this time, the foreigner was able under skillful guidance from Reyan Lewis, to gobble the ground in the straight for the win by a short head.
This victory by Lion of Ekati was earned in four-year-old and upwards non-three for locally bred horses, and also a maiden for four-year-old maiden foreigners going a mile, which was the Caymanas, Saturday, September 2, 2023, eighth.
Lion of Ekati is trained by Jason DaCosta and was the second winner for Lewis.
