KINGSTON, Jamaica – Trainer Harry Jaghai, a renowned member of the Jaghai racing family, passed away early this morning at his Meadowvale residence in St Catherine at the age of 85.

Throughout his adult life, Jaghai devoted himself to the racing industry, initially as a jockey and later as a conditioner.

As a jockey, Jaghai achieved three victories, uniquely accomplishing this feat at three different Jamaican racetracks.

However, it was as a trainer where Jaghai solidified his legacy in local racing history. The successes he shared with horses like Shady Grove, Proceed, Bold Queen, Classy Slew, Lady Bangalore, and Marlee Barlee will never be forgotten.

"The racing industry has lost a true professional. Harry Jaghai was a gentleman who deeply loved and cared for his horses. He weathered challenging times and remained humble amidst numerous successes.

On behalf of the promoting company, I extend my condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of trainer Harry Jaghai. May he rest in eternal peace," expressed Solomon Sharpe, Executive Chairman of Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited.

Quickgallop.com offers his sympathies to the family members of Harry Jaghai, also his friends and fellow racing professionals. Sleep well, Sir Jaghai!
