Simba The Lion maintained an advantage over Slamsilano (Paul Francis) down the backstretch before increasing the pace into the half-mile.
Under jockey Reyan Lewis's urging, Simba The Lion responded positively in the final stretch and secured victory by one and three-quarter lengths in a time of 1:31.2 (24.1 x 48.1 x 1:14.1). Victoriasmedallion (Tevin Foster) placed second, followed by Genealogy (Shavon Townsend) in third.
Maya (Raddesh Roman) initially finished second but was disqualified due to causing interference during the race.
